So today I woke up at 515am, bath, got ready, and was out by 6am. We were so excited; sunrise at Mount Faber, here we come!! We had the windows and roof down so the morning air was amazing, I tell you. Sitting at the back of the car, eyes closed, wind blowing in face... a moment's peace. I tried not to think too much.
Suddenly at the highway near CBD area there, eh, why aba close windows?? Alamak!! It's raining!! I normally welcome the rain, but this morning was urgh, why did you have to pour today, love?
So got to Mt. Faber at around 630 but couldn't get out 'cause the clouds were just crying and crying over us. So we drove to Harbour Front MRT there, had breakfast. I had masala thosai. *nyumm*
We didn't get to see the sun rise of course, but we did turn back to Mount Faber to enjoy the view. Even took some wicked pictures; can't wait to post them!! Got this once pic, my father took of us 3 women + 3 girls crossing the road, ala The Beatles. So farny!!
Then we round round Chinatown by car. Then: Victoria School. Aba and mama were so excited. Aba went to school there from Sec 1-Pre U. Mama for her Pre-Us. 25 years later, there they are. I looked at them and.. I don't know. Mama was so excited. There's the tree, there's the stadium, there's the nasi ayam stall! Aba was more quiet, once in a while saying things like, there was where I played soccer. Too bad they could not really enter the grounds. Private property or something. Still, I guess it brought back lots of memories for them. Gosh, it's their old school, but I'm the one sounding all teary and..
Okay moving on.
Then we went to Mustafa Center. Eh the toilet dang cool, you know. You don't press the flush. You place your palm over the scanner and it flushes. Haisey.. I bought this cute Japanese fan and Patrick from Spongebob PEZ candies. *chuckles* Couldn't resist la.
And THEN we stopped by Singapore Arts Museum but it was still closed. Fridays are admission-free from 6pm-9pm. Wani!! We should go one day!! Nak tak?? Yes ah!
Then went to Geylang Library; haisey, the poetry collection down there dang good la. Hmmm. Last pit stop was the market at Tamp Mart. Mama bought chicken.
And that's all folks. Tired. -_-" I think I'm catch some zzzz's after this. Thank you for watching!

but reading, good company and reflection
must finish him.
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
