Yesterday was a blast! Had to meet up with Nur at Bedok interchange at 3.30, but being oh-so-punctual, I was at Bedok MRT by 2.53. Siow right? So I just sat on the traing watching people and hopped off at Aljunied, then took the opposite MRT just to waste time. Whattheheck. Reached Bedok (again) at 3.20. Walked reeeal slow to let time pass me by (eh like that Vanessa Charlton song). I sat at the bustop, frowning, 'cause I figured if I smiled nanti orang terpikat, so I frowned a lot. Heh. I was on the dot exactly 3.30 (uh huh), Nur was there with a new girl I just met, Aini. Later Dhuha came and Khairiani and Munirah and Masturah and lastly Ishak by 3.50, then walked to Masjid Al-Ansar, which was a good ten minutes away.
Then yada yada yada, walked again to the CC. So nice to see Wani, hee. Eh the shirt looks good on you, you know, weird right? Like when I saw you I was like, "Eh nice ah Wani wear that shirt." Heh. Sit around till 5.00, then Asrul distributed the houses, and I kena this house with Nadiah. But she was late so I was paired off with Aini. We had to paint the house. What I had in mind was a small piece of wall to paint, so the guys ask can onot, I said eh of course la can insya Allah can can. Cheh like confident. The person-in-charge said that the owner of the house wanted girls to paint, but later we found out that she'd rather had the guys do it.
So okay ah, semangat2 Aini and me went to her house, expecting a Hajjah to open the door. Skali yang bukak Haji! He explained that his wife was out and would be back soon. So okay, "Cik nak kite cat rumah eh?" Nak carik berus je da kecoh. Then he said, " Ah nak cat dinding ni. Lepas tu yang kat dalam sana. Ngan kat tepi sana. Ngan kat hujang sana. Ah ceiling pon nak kene cat skali." I looked at Aini and Aini looked at me. Huh? Die. We had like forty-five minutes to finish up the WHOLE kitchen, plus a bit of the living room. Die.
Off to work. Then four girls came over, 'cause the house they were assigned to were empty. By that time Hajjah pon da balik. Wah she must have felt like a queen ah. Dua orang cat rumah (I passed the honour of painting to Munirah), dua orang lap tingkap, lagi dua pasang langsir. I kept looking at the time and it was six o'clock, I told her we had to report back at 6. Then the Hajjah said, "Abeh keje lom habis, camne? Takpe takpe, awak habiskan keje awak. Nanti awak lambat saya cakapkan." Dalam hati.. Wadduh ini cobaan betol la. Memang Tuhan lagi testing tu, Han bleh sabar tak. Fuhh. In a matter of an hour and fifteen minutes, had to really just grind my teeth and just do it ah. Actually the job itself wasn't bad. Cuma the makcik kept putting us down, saying we don't know how to do work la, and this and that.
The small kitchen was smelling of paint and at one point I was on the chair painting the ceiling, felt like just puking. Had to squat down and Munirah had to urut my neck. I think dalam hati makcik tu cakap ape la eh, anak dara ni sikit je nak terpengsan. But really ah the smell was almost unbearable. Salute Aini for going all the way, she's really strong ah.
K ah da tired. Part II of this when I have the mood.
Right now I'm PMS-ing ah I think. Like.. Okay nevermind. Better finish this off before I start swearing upsidedown.

must finish him.
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
